****To All CCHS Families***
CCHS has an Historic opportunity as the 1st High School in the US to host
students from Turkmenistan, an emerging democratic state in Central Asia.
Two Turkmen students have been selected from their country to attend classes
and prepare a presentation project for CCHS during the timeframe of August
27, 2008 through February 1, 2009.
The students are 15 years old and have finished their education at the
Balkanabat School no. 17 in Turkmenistan where they have acquired a working
knowledge of English.
The US State Department has provided funding and support for this program.
However, in order to take advantage of this unique opportunity,
WE NEED ONE ADDITIONAL HOST FAMILY FOR ONE STUDENT!
If you are interested in hosting a young man for all or a portion of this 5
month visit, please contact:
David Nurenberg at CCHS (dnurenberg at colonial.net or 781-854-2984). Please
let him know of your interest by Monday August 18th if possible.
Thank you to our current host families for all of the CCHS exchange
students! These valuable programs would not be possible without you!
Sincerely,
Linda Miller
