To the CCHS Community,
2nd Annual Masters Swim Mini-Meet at Beede Center on Morning of October 26
On Sunday morning, October 26, the Second Annual Mini-Meet for Masters
swimmers will take place at the Beede Swim and Fitness Center in Concord,
Massachusetts. It is a fun morning with Masters swimmers, coaches,
teachers, parents and young people all swimming together.
First-time competitors, regardless of experience level, and Masters
swimmers are encouraged to participate.
All swimmers must be 18 years or older.
The meet does not require membership in any Masters swimming association,
although all times recorded at the meet will be recognized as official by
the New England Masters Swimming (NEM.) Warm-up begins at 7:45 AM,
start-time is 8:45 AM. The meet will finish by 12:15 PM.
The eight lane, 25-meter pool at the Beede Center boasts a bright,
light-filled state-of-the-art environment,
including a new electronic Colorado scoreboard and timing system.
The Mini-Meet is hosted by the Concord-Carlisle High School Swim and Dive
team as they
raise dollars to support their 2008-2009 winter season.
Competitors in the Concord Mini-Meet may choose from twelve events from
the 400 meters freestyle to the 50 meters butterfly. Over the course of
the morning, swimmers may participate in up to five races.
The entry fee is $25 plus a charge of $3 per event entered. Registration
