DAILY BULLETIN
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2008
TODAY at 2:30 in H-12, the Film Club will show François Truffaut's
semi-autobiographical film "The 400 Blows", the story of a boy in Paris
whose troublemaking leads to unexpected consequences. Snacks will be
provided.
Attention all Miss Saigon pit musicians, tech, and auditioning actors --
there will be a MANDATORY meeting on Monday, December 8 from 2:30-3 pm in
the auditorium. All pit musicians, tech, and auditioning actors must
attend this brief meeting.
There will be a yearbook meeting on Monday after school in S-8; all are
invited to attend to contribute to the yearbook.
The CCHS Drama Club will have a brief meeting TODAY immediately after
school in the Chorus Room (I-6). The Drama Club is for students
interested in theatre but not necessarily participating in the formal CCHS
stage shows. The Drama Club has a emphasis on improv and comedy but works
with other stage forms. Come to the meeting on Friday and learn more!
Come see the Grapes of Wrath this weekend in the CCHS auditorium. The
play is based on John Steinbeck's epic of the Joad family's road trip to
California during the Great Depression in search of a new life. The cast
features over forty students and a live band. The show starts at 7:30 on
Friday and Saturday nights and 1:30 on Sunday afternoon. Buy tickets at
the door- $5 for students.
Auditions for the late winter musical "Miss Saigon" and the CCHS entry
into the Massachusetts Theatre Guild competition will be held the weeks of
Dec 8 and Dec 15. Pick up audition material in I-6, the Chorus Room, and
sign up for an audition time on the theatre bulletin board outside I-6.

Work Saturdays and Sundays at The Concord Bookstore and earn money towards
CC drama trips such as shows in Boston, the spring New York City
seminar/show trip, etc. Work a little or work a lotall proceeds go to
you towards CC drama trips! See the I-6 theatre bulletin board or Mr.
George Kendall for more information.
Ushers are needed for The Grapes of Wrath.~ Performances are on Dec. 5th
and 6th at 7:30pm and Dec. 7th at 1:30pm.~ Student ushers will have free
admission to the performance and receive community service.~ Please pick
up an information sheet from the bulletin board across from the chorus

Holiday Gifts Needed. The Concord Carlisle Community Chest will be
collecting unwrapped gifts for local families in need at the Concord
Center tree lighting, Sunday, December 7th at 5:30-6:30. Gifts will be
collected at the tree lighting at the base of the tree at about 6:30 p.m.
(Parade will be at 6 p.m.) The Chest will gratefully accept presents for
children, teens and disabled adults and distribute them before the
holidays through the many local agencies the Chest supports. Gifts may
also be brought to the Chest offices at the Community Agencies Building
(brick building) at Emerson Hospital, 111 ORNAC, before December 15.
