Hey, you - do you have any old cell phones, dead ipods, broken digital
cameras or empty printer ink cartridges? Throwing them away creates toxic
trash! Bring them in to CCHS instead, and we can recycle them, no matter
how broken they are! Drop them in the big box in Mrs. Hammer's office.
The box will be here until January 31st, AND there is another drop off box
at the Concord Public Library. Do your bit to save the planet!

The CCHS Driver Education class has been postponed, as the timetable for
licensing CCHS as a Driving School has been delayed. We anticipate
starting our first class sometime in February. A student must be 15
years-9 months of age to enroll in the course (course starting date), and
must be 16 by the conclusion. The fee for the mandated 30-hour classroom
program is $150.The fee for behind the wheel instruction -- 12 hours of
behind-the-wheel instruction and the 6 hours of observation (12 is
recommended, available a no additional cost) -- is $450. Students in good
standing may be able to schedule driving instruction during a study
period. Students must attend all classes for full credit. If absent, a
make-up class in a future course must cover the same content to comply
with school and Registry requirements. A course syllabus will be available
to guide a student if this is necessary. Parents must attend a 2-hour
classroom parent session also. There is no additional fee. Date to be
announced. Parents also have specific responsibilities for providing 40 or
more hours of driving practice for new drivers. The Community Education
department will update this information as soon as course dates are
established.
