possible.
Hey, you - do you have any old cell phones, dead ipods, broken digital
cameras or empty printer ink cartridges? Throwing them away creates toxic
trash! Bring them in to CCHS instead, and we can recycle them, no matter
how broken they are! Drop them in the big box in Mrs. Hammer's office.
The box will be here until January 31st, AND there is another drop off box
at the Concord Public Library. Do your bit to save the planet!
TEEN DRIVING SAFETY:
Did you know that in 2007 3,174 15-to 20-yearold drivers were killed and
an additional 252,000 were injured in motor vehicle crashes? Would you
like to know how to prevent these crashes, and how to help your teen
become a safe driver? Concord Carlisle Parent Initiative (CCPI) is
organizing a workshop on teen driving safety for parents and teens. It
will be run as a panel discussion with representatives from AAA, Concord
Police, a Concord Insurance Agency, In Control Advanced Driver Program
(Skid School), and the new CCHS driving program. In addition to
information and tips on how to train your new driver you will be able to
learn about the new CCHS Driving Program that is modeled after the Acton
Boxborough Driving School. Thursday Jan.14, 7 - 9pm, Alcott School,
Concord, 93 Laurel Street.
