Bonjour! Come join French Club. This is a culture club where we watch
movies, listen to music, and of course eat French food! All are welcome
(even if you don't speak French) to come, sit back, and just enjoy French
culture. This week we will be making Chocolate Fondue on Thursday at 3:30
in A5 and you won't want to miss it! If you are a new member be sure to
bring 5$! See you there!
The History Reading Group will meet this afternoon from 2:25-3:15 in H-6.
We will be discussing the current situation in the Gaza strip and whether
the current Israeli offensive is justified. Please join us if you are
interested.
Students interested in participating in our annual Moot Court competition,
please sign up next week in the Social Studies Office between Tuesday,
January 20th and Thursday, January 22nd. Please sign up in pairs of two.
Any questions, ask Mrs. Davies in Social Studies.
The hypnotist is coming back to CCHS! On January 29th, Tommy Vee is
coming back to hypnotize us all with his humorous and entertaining show.
Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased at all lunch blocks next week. NO
tickets will be sold at the door so be sure to get yours early. Also, be
sure to pick up a permission slip when you buy your ticket if you are
under 18 and would like to participate in the show.
To all students going on the Japan trip this April - you are encouraged to
attend Mr. Nurenberg's Ruettgers presentation on Buddhism TODAY 2:30 in
the Little Theater. Remember that attending at least two pre-trip events
is a requirement for going.
Yoga Club will meet TODAY as usual from 2:30-3:30 in the Gym Modular.
Michele Laura, a professional yoga teacher, will be leading the group in
Ms. Slocum's absence. All are welcome. Namaste!
Attention Staff and Students, Please come to hear David Nurenberg speak
about Burning corpses, Yaks, and Rebel attacks: Potholes on the Road to
Enlightenment. A detailed travelogue of Mr. Nurenberg's Buddhist journey
through 5 Asian nations. This Thursday, January 15, at 2:30 in the Little
Theater.
An informational meeting will be held Friday 1/16 @ 2:20 in the fitness
center.
CCHS Strength and Conditioning Program
An 8 week 4 days per week strength and conditioning program sponsored
by Friends of Football and the CCHS Athletic Department and run by CATZ
Sports. The program is designed to build confidence through weight, speed
and agility training. CATZ is a nationally renowned training system whose
programs have been scientifically & clinically designed by certified
strength and conditioning specialists to help make you the best athlete
you can be.
