If you are having trouble finding your study hall or your study hall
teacher, come to the Main Office.

There are no Study Halls in the café during H-block.  If you cannot find
your Study Hall, come to the Main Office.

Attendance Reports are due back to Mrs. Merry, in the main office, by the
end of the day Thursday, Feb. 5th

A brief but important meeting for students interested in Football --
Thursday at 2:15 in the Faculty Dining Room.

Should the embargo on Cuba be lifted? All are welcome to come to JSA this
Wednesday from 6-7. This week is a formal debate, get pumped.

Come to sci-fi club today at 2:30 in H-12 to watch Spaceballs!  Come at
ludicrous speed for free pizza -- all are welcome.

Attention friends of Jay Stephens!!! Every time you pass Jay Stephens in
the hall today, Mrs. Davies requests that you remind him that you need 270
Electoral College votes to be elected President. You got that Jay? The
number is 270.

Battle of the Bands tickets are on sale in the cafeteria all lunch blocks
this week!  The Battle is THIS Saturday night so get your tickets now. 
Only $12 per ticket and the admission includes a drink or snack, too!

Boys Lacrosse pre season meeting for students in grades 10 through 12 on
Thursday, February 5th at 2:45 in the faculty dining room.

Come to the first meeting of the Magic card club this Thursday in the cafe
at 3:00. We will be discussing how the club will be set up and all things
Magic related and, of course, playing. Tell your friends, and people new
to the game are especially welcome to join.

If you are interested in sailing with the CCHS sailing club during the
spring racing season then you must attend a short informational meeting in
room S-11 after school TODAY. This is a mandatory meeting if you intend to
sail in the spring.

Please come to a fascinating Ruettgers Lecture delivered by our amazing
librarian. On Thursday, February 5, at 2:30, in the Little Theatre, Ms.
Cicchetti will be speaking about her scholarly adventures in Japan,
especially as an ambassador to our sister city, Nanae. See you there!

In preparation for the upcoming CCHS musical "Miss Saigon", TODAY from
2:30-3:30 pm in the auditorium will be a talk by Dick Krug and Dom
Ingegneri of the US Marine Corps.  They will provide background on what it
was like to be in Vietnam during this time so our actors have some "real
life" understanding and context for their stage portrayals.   All
students, faculty, and staff are also invited to sit in on the discussion
this Wednesday, January 28th, from 2:30-3:30 pm in the auditorium.

Stoneymeade Farm, located at 135 Strawberry Hill Road in Concord, will
start its REACH (Recreational Equine Assisted Activity for Children &
Horses) program for therapeutic riding beginning March 2009.~ It will
offer therapeutic riding lessons and recreational equine assisted activity
for children with special needs.~ We are currently looking for volunteers
to assist in tacking up, sidewalking, assisting in lesson programs, and
general horse and tack maintenance.~ Riding experience is not a
prerequisite, but being comfortable around horses and kids are.~ We have
some positions that will require a scheduled commitment, and some that are

~Caroline Hill Scholarship Applications for the Caroline Hill Scholarship
awards are available to Carlisle's current high school seniors for
continuing post-secondary education including colleges, universities, and
vocational schools. These need-based awards typically range from $500 to
$2,000. The awards are made in late spring.  You may download the
application from the Board of Selectmen page at [

applications will be available in the CCHS registrar's office, the Gleason
Public Library, or the Selectmen's office in the Carlisle Town Hall.
