There are no Study Halls in the café during H-block. If you cannot find
your Study Hall, come to the Main Office.
Attendance Reports are due back to Mrs. Merry, in the main office, by the
end TODAY.
The philosophy club will meet after school today in room L-7.
A brief but important meeting for students interested in Football -- TODAY
2:15 in the Faculty Dining Room.
Battle of the Bands tickets are on sale in the cafeteria all lunch blocks
this week! The Battle is THIS Saturday night so get your tickets now.
Only $12 per ticket and the admission includes a drink or snack, too!
Come support the CCHS Girls Diving team in their DCL meet TODAY! The meet
starts at 3:30pm at the Beede Center, and there is no admission cost. See
you there!
Boys Lacrosse pre season meeting for students in grades 10 through 12
TODAY at 2:45 in the faculty dining room.
For those interested in taking the AP English Literature exam in May,
there will be a prep session next Wednesday, February 11, at 2:30 in room
H-11. You must RSVP with Mr. Woodnal in the English office if you plan to
attend!
Sophomores:
RYLA Conference applications have arrived. Students may pick up an
application and information from Mrs. Coleman in the main office.
ATTENTION: ALL FRESHMEN SHOULD BE ATTENDING THEIR COURSE SELECTION
MEETINGS WITH THEIR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR THIS WEEK IN THE UPPER LIBRARY. IF
YOU HAVE MISSED YOUR MEETING, PLEASE SEE YOUR COUNSELOR TO RESCHEDULE AS
SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Come to the first meeting of the Magic card club TODAY in the cafe at
3:00. We will be discussing how the club will be set up and all things
Magic related and, of course, playing. Tell your friends, and people new
to the game are especially welcome to join.
Please come to a fascinating Ruettgers Lecture delivered by our amazing
librarian. TODAY at 2:30, in the Little Theatre, Ms. Cicchetti will be
speaking about her scholarly adventures in Japan, especially as an
ambassador to our sister city, Nanae. See you there!
The CCHS fencing team will be competing at state championships at The Dana
Hall School on Sunday starting at 10 AM. Come support your undefeated
women's team and your almost-undefeated men's team as they go for their
sixth consecutive state title! See you there!
Students who are on a wait list to change courses and want to remain on
the list must see Ms. Tracy in Guidance by the close of school on Friday
Feb 6th. Students who do not verify that they want to remain on the wait
list will have their name removed their space will be given to the next
available student on Monday Feb 9th.
The Summer Opportunity Fair's committee would like to acknowledge and
thank the custodian staff for their hard work and continued commitment for
the success of the summer~opportunity fair.~ We couldn't have done it
without you.~ Thank you~ Suellen Wheeler and the rest of the Committee.
Stoneymeade Farm, located at 135 Strawberry Hill Road in Concord, will
start its REACH (Recreational Equine Assisted Activity for Children &
Horses) program for therapeutic riding beginning March 2009.~ It will
offer therapeutic riding lessons and recreational equine assisted activity
for children with special needs.~ We are currently looking for volunteers
to assist in tacking up, sidewalking, assisting in lesson programs, and
general horse and tack maintenance.~ Riding experience is not a
prerequisite, but being comfortable around horses and kids are.~ We have
some positions that will require a scheduled commitment, and some that are

Caroline Hill Scholarship Applications for the Caroline Hill Scholarship
awards are available to Carlisle's current high school seniors for
continuing post-secondary education including colleges, universities, and
vocational schools. These need-based awards typically range from $500 to
$2,000. The awards are made in late spring. You may download the
application from the Board of Selectmen page at [
http://www.carlislema.gov ]www.carlislema.gov. Hard copies of the
applications will be available in the CCHS registrar's office, the Gleason
Public Library, or the Selectmen's office in the Carlisle Town Hall.

We are looking for student volunteers for the three elementary Family Math
Nights. Thoreau Family Math Night will take place on Friday March 6th from
6-8 pm. Willard Family Math night will take place on Friday March 13th
from 6-8 pm and Alcott on Friday March 27th also from 6-8. Ideally
volunteers would be available around 5:30 and help until around 8:30.
Assignments would include running game tables, helping sign in at the
entrance way, and helping with food (pending approval).~ Contact names for
