Come to Amnesty International on Tuesday at 5pm in H-5 to finish the film
Dead Man Walking and help us conclude our discussion of the death penalty.

Reminder to All Seniors - Please see your guidance counselor as soon as
possible to update them on any/all college admissions decisions.
Attention Seniors: The Byrd Scholarship activities résumés are due to
Mrs. McDonald, located in the Office Modular by noon TODAY. No exceptions
will be made.
Come share your creativity and have some fun at Coffee House's second
open-mic night of the year! This exciting event will be held TODAY from
7:30 to 10:30, Downstage at the Emerson Umbrella. There will be great
music, poetry, refreshments, and more. See you all there.
A reminder to Juniors The form for Off-campus privileges during lunch
blocks are available in the Main Office.
A representative from Herff-Jones will be in the cafe during lunch blocks
TODAY to collect orders for Class Rings, answer questions and to give out
order forms if needed. Please stop by and get Class Ring information.
A reminder -- Senior Community Service Award Certificates. Absolute
Deadline is April 15th. NO EXCEPTIONS. Seniors who have 100 or more
hours of community service must have their forms in to Mrs. Hammer NO
LATER THAN APRIL 15th.
Heifer International Trip to Honduras: Informational Meeting Monday 4/13
at 7:30 pm at First Parish in Concord
This youth service trip will take place February 13-20, 2010 in
partnership with Heifer International.~ Join with First Parish and lay
leaders Dave & Diane Clapp on this exciting trip to Southern Honduras,
learn about and support an organization that believes in sustainable
change, and work on local community building.~ Cost approximately
$1,800-$2,000.~ Youth and volunteer adult chaperones welcome to apply.

The Concord Carlisle Driving School at CCHS opens this spring. A team of
instructors and two new cars are ready to begin classes the first week of
May. The school was developed and funded by the Community Education
Program and its start-up and operating expenses will be recovered with
student fees. It will be limited to CCHS students and district residents
at this time. An evening class will meet Monday & Wednesday, May 4 to
June 24 6:30-8:30 PM at CCHS. An afternoon class will meet Tuesday &
Thursday, May 5 to June 23, 2:30-4:30 PM at CCHS. An evening class in July
has also been announced. Details are at www.ace.colonial.net
Registration begins Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 AM at the CCHS Cafeteria,
and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited in each
class. The fee is $600 for the 30-hour class program and 12 hours of
behind-the-wheel instruction and 12 hours of observation. Students must be
15 years 10 months to begin the class, and 16 by the final day of their

Calling all Actors and Singers!
The Savoyard Light Opera Company of Carlisle is looking for children 10
and up to perform in our fall production of Gilbert and Sullivans Pirates
of Penzance. Auditions will be held at Corey Auditorium by appointment
only on May 18, 19 and 20. Rehearsals begin after Labor Day and are held
on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7:00 10:00 at the First
Religious Society on School Street in Carlisle. Performances will be in

Come join Commonwealth Ballet for their 23rd Annual "A Little Night
Dancing" performance on April 11th at 7:30 PM. There will be many talented
and spirited performances so come and enjoy the show. Tickets will be sold
at the door for $10 if you are a student and $12 for adults. The
performance takes place at the R.J. Grey Junior High School in Acton, MA.
The League of Women Voters of Concord-Carlisle announces its Spring House
Tour to be held on Wednesday, April 15, Room for Us: Adapting Spaces to
Your Needs. ~The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with registration and
continental breakfast at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden
St., Concord. Holly Cratsley, AIA, Principal of Nashawtuc Architects,
Inc., gives an introductory talk at 9:30 a.m. Tour of homes starts at
10:30 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $30 by advance registration

Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee (PCCC) are looking for 12
students to march in the 2009 Patriots Day Parade. These students would be
paired in two's and be banner holders in the parade. The parade is 2.5
miles long and we would need them to report to the Concord Armory by 8:30
AM. Proper attire would be required coat, tie and white shirt~for Boys and
skirt or slacks and white blouse for girls. The parade would get over
sometime around 1PM. Lunch will be provided for them at the Hunt Gym~after
the parade is over.~Community service hours would be available for this
service. Please post notice and we should have their names before April
15th.
