Match Makers are back! For all who~filled out Match Maker forms~last month
can now pick up their results in the cafe during all lunch blocks for
three dollars.

The Magic Card Club will be meeting today in room S-8. Please join us to
play everyone's favorite card game, newcomers are especially welcome.

Seniors who have less than 40 hours of community service the deadline is
April 30.

The sophomore semi is on Sat. May 2nd!!!  Tickets are 20 dollars, and are
on sale this week and the week after April vacation during lunch blocks in
the cafe.  

If you could not make the informational elections on Monday after school,
you can pick up a nomination packet in the Main Office.~ All packets are
due back to the Main Office by the end of the day on Thursday...any
questions, see Elise Goodhue.

There will be a service weekend on May 2nd and 3rd. It is an opportunity
for families of the community to hire students to help with household
chores and the students who volunteer may receive community service hours.
Students will charge $10 per hour and all proceeds will be going to a
charity soon to be chosen by the CCHS group "Youth in Philanthropy". If
students or families would like to sign up please send an email to

Attention Class of 2012!~ Your Freshman Class Trip this year is to Six
Flags New England!!~ The class will be going to Six Flags on Saturday, May
2nd from 11:30 am to 10:00 pm.~ Join your friends and classmates for a
great day and a fun CCHS tradition.~ Permission slips can be found on CCHS
Student News, as well as, the Main Office, and the CCHS-2012 Email List.~
Forms and checks ($30) are due no later than Friday, April 17th so get
them in quickly!  Tradition stands that freshmen returning from Six Flags
work together to help to put back the cafeteria chairs after the Sophomore
Semi.~ We ask that students remain at the high school for an extra 20
minutes or so to help clean up.~ The favor is returned to us next year
when the new freshmen class will clean up after our Semiformal.~More

The Concord Carlisle Driving School at CCHS opens this spring. A team of
instructors and two new cars are ready to begin classes the first week of
May. The school was developed and funded by the Community Education
Program and its start-up and operating expenses will be recovered with
student fees. It will be limited to CCHS students and district residents
at this time.  An evening class will meet Monday & Wednesday, May 4 to
June 24 6:30-8:30 PM at CCHS. An afternoon class will meet Tuesday &
Thursday, May 5 to June 23, 2:30-4:30 PM at CCHS. An evening class in July
has also been announced. Details are at www.ace.colonial.net. Registration
begins TODAY at 7:00 AM at the CCHS Cafeteria, and will be on a
first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited in each class. The fee is
$600 for the 30-hour class program and 12 hours of behind-the-wheel
instruction and 12 hours of observation. Students must be 15 years 10
months to begin the class, and 16 by the final day of their classroom

opportunity. *** Place an ad in the Follies Playbill*** ~~The Faculty
Follies Playbill provides an opportunity for you to recognize the
wonderful (and wacky) teachers at CCHS. Ads may be purchased by students,
parents, school organizations and community groups and Concord and
Carlisle businesses.~ Prices are: Full page ($100), half page ($50),
Quarter page ($25) and Naming rights ($10).~ Please contact Linda Miller

Calling all Actors and Singers!
The Savoyard Light Opera Company of Carlisle is looking for children 10
and up to perform in our fall production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates
of Penzance.  Auditions will be held at Corey Auditorium by appointment
only on May 18, 19 and 20.  Rehearsals begin after Labor Day and are held
on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 7:00 – 10:00 at the First
Religious Society on School Street in Carlisle.  Performances will be in

Public Ceremonies and Celebrations Committee (PCCC) are looking for 12
students to march in the 2009 Patriots Day Parade. These students would be
paired in two's and be banner holders in the parade. The parade is 2.5
miles long and we would need them to report to the Concord Armory by 8:30
AM. Proper attire would be required coat, tie and white shirt~for Boys and
skirt or slacks and white blouse for girls. The parade would get over
sometime around 1PM. Lunch will be provided for them at the Hunt Gym~after
the parade is over.~Community service hours would be available for this
service. Please post notice and we should have their names before April
15th.

ConcordCAN, the Concord Climate Action Network, is organizing a [
http://www.350.org/ ]www.350.org ~event for 4/26, 12:30pm at Heywood
Meadow. (It is on Heywood Street, if you go via Walden Street from Main
Street, turn left onto Heywood; the meadow is on the right via just before
you reach Lexington Road.)This is one in a series of events leading up to
a big, worldwide global warming rally on Oct. 24. For a full understanding
of what the number means, visit the 350.org website. Briefly, it refers to
350 parts per million of CO2 in the atmosphere. ~That amount, which
climate scientists consider a tolerable upper limit, has already been
exceeded, posing great danger to the planet. Climate action organizations
worldwide are seeking to influence the outcome of the next international
conference on climate change (IPCC) in December of this year to mandate
effective reductions in CO2 emissions. The local 350 event on April 26
will involve, among other things, a picture of the assembled attendees
standing in the shape of a 350. Similar events are happening around the

Concord Trails Logo Design Contest 
How would you like to see your art all over town?  Design a logo for the
Concord trail entrance markers to be placed on town conservation land
throughout Concord. 1st Prize is $100 Gift of Concord Gift Certificate
(and logo selection) 2nd Prize: $50 Gift of Concord Gift Certificate,
3rdPrize: Concordopoly game.  The contest is open to ALL AGES!  Logo
designs should fit on a 4” round white disk. Use only one color.  The
design must include the words, “Concord Trails”.  Submit entries by May
