On behalf of the Concord Education Fund, we would like to invite you to
a tour of the new digital recording studio at the Concord Carlisle High
School on June 18 from 7:00-9:00 PM.  We will meet in front of the
cafeteria and then proceed to the digital recording studio to take a tour
of the facility and watch tapes of live recordings of CCHS musicians and
choral groups.  To date, the Concord Education Fund has raised $60,000 of
the $90,000 needed to purchase equipment and convert existing space into a
music lab and recording studio.  While the studio is fully operational,
there are numerous pieces of equipment that still need to be purchased to
maximize its potential.   In the current economic environment of reduced
state aide to schools it is becoming increasingly important for the
community to make up the shortfall and support initiatives that enrich and
enhance our students' educational experience and learning potential. 

The digital recording studio will offer every student with an interest in
music the chance to experience a professional multi-track recording
system.   The resulting recordings will offer student performers
professional quality demo tapes and will offer the concert band, the jazz
band, the choir, and theatrical groups, professional quality CDs for
personal and fundraising use.  The technical skills students develop using
the studio will be transferable to other professional recording settings
and other engineering endeavors.
