The letter below went out on the listserver the other day:
Dear Parents:
I am writing to clarify information surrounding the H1N1 virus at CCHS. To
date there have been four confirmed cases of an unidentified general flu
and several students that meet the criteria for flu. Apparently doctors
treating sick individuals are no longer testing to see if the flu is H1N1
- they are just assuming it is. We will continue to monitor illnesses here
at CCHS, but according to state guidelines, there is no need to take
further action at this point
Important reminders
- if your child is sick, keep him/her home for 7 days or 24 hours after
symptoms go away - which ever is longer
- wash hands frequently using soap & water or an alcohol-based hand
sanitizer
- cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inner elbow area (not the
hands)
- avoid touching your nose, mouth and eyes as much as possible
