OUR 180TH DAY OF SCHOOL!!

Someone took a silver/blue, brand 'Giant' bicycle in front of the CCHS on
Tuesday; it had the lock attached to it. The bicycle was a gift it has a
lot of sentimental value to me. Please return it to where it was. No
questions will be asked. Thanks.

Attention class of 2010: Your senior portraits must be taken by September!
Make arrangements to have yours done with a photographer soon.

ALL students are reminded to clean out their lockers. Juniors need to
return your lock to Mrs. Trainor,
all other students can leave their locks on their lockers.

The Concord-San Marcos (Nicaragua) Sister Cities Committee is in desperate
need of about 10 volunteers to help us move out some donated school
furniture from the Willard School, next Wednesday, July 1st for about
three hours, starting at 10 am. Your help will be much appreciated and you
will receive community service hours for your services. Please see Mrs.
DesLoges in L-3 if you can help us out.

“Live your beliefs and you can turn the world around” Henry David Thoreau.
Every day, our daughters are inundated with media images of celebrities
and models, people they begin to emulate at a young age.~~ These images
evolve into ideals and unrealistic expectations of who they are ‘supposed’
to be. This program explores the idea of wellness as a holistic concept,
and as a way to believe in yourself. It’s not about being as skinny as a
super model. It’s about being the best you can be – confident in yourself
and happy with whom you are. It’s about finding the right exercise that
suits your personality, eating nurturing food and discovering ways to grow
artistically and spiritually. It’s about realizing that reaching out to
others is in itself a way to nourish ourselves and find self expression.
Our five day program includes yoga, expressive dance (modern, African and
Salsa), Pilates, cooking/creative culinary, fashion sense and body image,
journaling, community service and lots of teen talk. Join Susanne
Liebich, Program Director, dancer and Pilate’s instructor, Deborah Ricci
of Teresina’s in Maynard, Ruth Herman of Concord Writers Circle, Debra
Stark of Debra’s Natural Gourmet and Susan Ticknor of the Emerson Umbrella
for this fun and innovative summer wellness program.
