A reminder to all Freshmenplease passes in your signed Electronic

Ever wanted to defend the merits of Plan 9 from Outer Space? Come to
sci-fi club this Wednesday at 2:30 in H-12 to discuss "What makes for a
good - or a bad - sci-fi fantasy movie?" Free pizza, all are welcome.
Do teaching fun science experiments to elementary school children for
community service sound like fun to you? Then please attend the first TOYS
(TEACH OUR YOUTH SCIENCE) club meeting of the year! Wednesday Sept 16th at
2:30pm in room S-5. All are invited to attend!
Love going to the movies? Interested in film? The Film Club is holding an
informational meeting this Friday at 2:30 in the Little Theater. The
movies we show this year are up to you; whether they are classics,
blockbusters, or obscure independent films, so bring your suggestions! All
are welcome. Any questions, contact Charlie Abbott, Molly Copeland, or Ms.
Fischer in the Social Studies Dept.
Interested in doing community service? Then come to Interact! Interact is
a rotary club program for community service with an international
emphasis. We will have our first meeting TODAY at 2:30 in room H-4. Any
questions please see Mr. Gauthier from the social studies department or
Zack Cutler. We hope to see you there!
The first meeting of the Academic Bowl team will be Wednesday at 2:30 in
S-20. If you like trivia games, arcane knowledge and competition, move up
to the big leagues by joining the team. CCHS has been a powerhouse in the
region and we're looking to extend our reputation. New members are always
welcome.
Interested in publishing, writing or creating exciting magazine layouts?
Then join Reflections, CCHS's Arts and Literature Magazine, our first
meeting is Wednesday, September 16 in the art room, See Lucy Fandel or Mr.
Pickman for more information.
The Fitness Center will be open after school starting today. Students and
staff my workout from 2:30 4:30 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Are you interested in learning what's best for your planet, while learning
how to garden at the same time? Come to Weeds: Organics & Sustainability
Club! We'll be meeting out by the gardens between the S and H buildings
after school TODAY. Come and discuss our goals and plans for this year!~
Attentions doodlers, drawers, illustrators, manga experts and abstract
painters; The CCHS Art Club is having its first meeting of the year TODAY
right after school in room A2. No experience necessary, all are welcome so
bring a friend.
Attention all seniors! ALL PHOTOS for the yearbook MUST be submitted by
September 15th at the very latest! That includes senior portraits, baby
photos, baby blurbs, photos from junior prom and the sophomore semi,
senior summer, back in the day photos, and anything else you would like to
be featured in the yearbook. Again, ALL of these photos are due September
15th. Please see Joanna Nix or Mr. Sapp with any questions.
The Class of 2010 will continue to sell Student Planners. Quantities are
limited. Each planner costs $10. Cash and checks will be accepted. Please
contact Lisa Harris at 978-371-2494 Checks should be made out to CCHS
Class of 2010 for $10.

The Farm at Walden Woods, owned and operated by The Walden Woods Project,
is seeking part time volunteers to work at our farm stand this fall. The
Farm at Walden Woods provides fresh, locally grown produce to the
community and seeks to advance the ongoing conservation efforts of the
Walden Woods Project. Shifts are available from 12pm to 6pm on Thursday,
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from September 15th through October. Your
primary responsibilities will be to manage the cash register, restock
produce as needed, and assist customers with their purchases. This is a
perfect opportunity for high school students to build up community service
hours in a fast passed, demanding, and fun environment. For more

CCHS Driver Education
Fall 2009 Classes
CCHS Driver Education consists of 30 classroom hours, 12 hours of
behind-the-wheel instruction, and 12 hours of on-the-road observation.
Parents/guardians are responsible for an additional 40 hours of
on-the-road practice. Students will have one year to complete the program.
3 class times to choose from this fall:DE 105: Monday & Wednesday,
September 14-November 9, 6:30-8:30 PM, CCHSDE 106: Tuesday & Thursday,
September 15-November 3, 2:15-4:15 PM, CCHSDE 107: Sunday, November
1-January 24*, 5:00-8:00 PM, Concord Public Safety Building Parent meeting
(mandatory, choose one): Wednesday, September 16; Thursday, September 17;
Wednesday, December 2; all at 7 PM at CCHS.All CCHS Driver Ed Requirements

CCHS Driver Ed Parent Class
To parents of students who will enroll in CCHS Driver Education this year:
The Registry requires that a parent or guardian provide at least 40 hours
of supervised driving to complement the 12 hours of mandated driver
education behind-the-wheel instruction. Parents must also attend a
two-hour parent class. It is open to all CCHS parents, including those
currently in CCHS's driver education program and those who plan to enroll
in a course later this year. The next three sessions are, Wednesday,
September 16, 7-9 PM, Room L-5Thursday, September 17, 7-9 PM, CCHS
