Attention Seniors: Order your Cap and Gown now!! See Mrs. Coleman in the
Main Office ASAP. Cost $25.
In anticipation of the lottery for junior parking permits, please submit
your name to Ms. Trainor by Monday afternoon, if interested. Thanks.
Attendance Reports are due to Mrs. Merry in the Main office by the end of
the day Wednesday, Sept. 23rd.
Calling all creative writers! The first meeting of Chicken Scratch, CC's
creative writing club, will be today at 2:30 in room L-11. All are
welcome!
There will be a Yearbook meeting in S-8 today at 2:30. All students
interested in being a part of creating the next copy of "The Bridge" are
welcome, especially those interested in writing, photography, and the
graphic arts. No experience necessary!
Last week in sci-fi club, we discussed the worst sci-fi fantasy movies of
all time - this week, we'll be discussing the best ones, and what made
them great. Wednesday, 2:30 in H-12. Free Pizza, all are welcome.
The Academic Bowl team is looking for new players who would like to
exhibit their knowledge of facts in the areas of history, literature,
math, science and more. Join us at the new meeting time, today and every
Monday at 2:15 in S-20. Competing is fun and you can learn a lot in every
session!
Attention all CCHS students! If you are interested in rock climbing,
rafting, hiking, skiing, camping, or more adventures, you should join the
CCHS Outdoor Club! All are welcome to participate in any or all of the
trips we plan. Join us for our first trip on Monday, September 28th to go
rock climbing at Crow Hill. No experience is necessary, just a desire for
adventure! Instruction will be given at the hill. Pick up a permission
slip on the bulletin board outside the math office - they are due Tuesday!
You can also get the permission slip on the CCHS Student News conference
on FirstClass. Just look for the Outdoor Club announcement. Also, if you
want your name on our mailing list, send an email to
CCHSOutdoorClub at colonial.net. Join us for the fun of the outdoors!
For many students their study hall teachers and/or rooms may have changed
this past Wednesday. However, if you had a study hall on your schedule,
you still do! Make sure to find your study hall location and teachers.
The master list is on CCHS student news. Check your student e-mail
account for the updated list. If you cannot find the location of your new
lunch block study, please come to the main office. Attendance is being
taken and you will be held accountable accountable for unexcused absences.

The Class of 2010 will continue to sell Student Planners. Quantities are
limited. Each planner costs $10. Cash and checks will be accepted. Please
contact Lisa Harris at 978-371-2494 Checks should be made out to CCHS
Class of 2010 for $10.
CCHS SOCCER TEAM HOSTS KICKS FOR CANCER GAME! On Friday, September 25,
the CCHS Mens varsity soccer team will be playing Boston Latin @ 7pm at
the turf field behind the High School in the Third Annual Lois Wells
Memorial Kicks for Cancer Soccer Match with all proceeds donated to the
Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This night game is in memory of Concord
resident Lois Wells, who passed away after a courageous battle with
cancer.~ Lois is the mother of Steve Wells, who is the team's assistant
coach and a 1998 graduate of CCHS. Tickets will be on sale at CCHS Back to
School Night on September 24th and at the event. Raffle Tickets will also
be available. We invite you and your family to join us on the evening of
the 25th to watch a great soccer match and help support cancer research.
Attention parents of students involved with the performing arts, CCPOPS
will hold its first meeting this year on Tuesday, September 22nd at 7:00
p.m. in the Little Theatre. Please join us to meet the new drama teacher
and director, Ms. Carley Dwyer and hear about the upcoming productions,
including the Winter Musical.~In addition to drama, CCPOPS supports all of
the performing arts and there are lots of opportunities to be involved.

Volunteers are needed to help at the DropOff & SwapOff Recycling Day, on
Saturday, October 17. Students can earn from 2 to 10 hours of community
service credit. To volunteer or for more information, visit REUSIT online

After school individual music lessons begin this week and next week. For
information about the program or to download a registration form, please

including Chamber Music for more experienced instrumentalists, Taiko
drumming, and new this fall: Learn to Play in a Band with jazz/rock

CCHS Driver Education
Fall 2009 Classes
CCHS Driver Education consists of 30 classroom hours, 12 hours of
behind-the-wheel instruction, and 12 hours of on-the-road observation.
Parents/guardians are responsible for an additional 40 hours of
on-the-road practice. Students will have one year to complete the program.
3 class times to choose from this fall: DE 105: Monday & Wednesday,
September 14-November 9, 6:30-8:30 PM, CCHS DE 106: Tuesday & Thursday,
September 15-November 3, 2:15-4:15 PM, CCHSDE 107: Sunday, November
1-January 24*, 5:00-8:00 PM, Concord Public Safety Building Parent meeting
(mandatory, choose one): Wednesday, September 16; Thursday, September 17;
Wednesday, December 2; all at 7 PM at CCHS. All CCHS Driver Ed

CCHS Driver Ed Parent Class
To parents of students who will enroll in CCHS Driver Education this year:
The Registry requires that a parent or guardian provide at least 40 hours
of supervised driving to complement the 12 hours of mandated driver
education behind-the-wheel instruction. Parents must also attend a
two-hour parent class. It is open to all CCHS parents, including those
currently in CCHS's driver education program and those who plan to enroll
in a course later this year. The next three sessions are, Wednesday,
