The memorial ceremony for Clair Day will take place on Friday, October 2
at 5:30 pm in the courtyard behind the CCHS Library.
Please do not drop off students at the lower gym parking lot. Students may
be dropped off in front of the school (not in the circle) or the side
entrance by the student parking lot.
Reminder: No drinks are allowed at the football game.
Students are reminded that there is absolutely no parking in the lower gym
parking lot that means before school, during school and after school.
Attention all freshmen! Don't forget to come down the cafeteria TODAY
during all lunch blocks to cast your vote for senators and class officers.
This is a great way to become familiar with the voting process and with
your senators and officers, so come down and VOTE!
PSAT's are coming to CCHS on Saturday October 17th. Sign up begins Monday
October 5th through Friday October 9th in the Guidance Office. Check or
money order for $29.00 made out to CCHS. Absolutely NO CASH.
The girls varsity soccer team hosts Weston Friday night at 7pm on the
turf field. Please come to the game and support the undefeated first
place team in the Dual County League Small School Division.
Attention Juniors. Do you want to reduce the cost of your personal senior
prom ticket? Stop by the scratch-card fundraiser table in the cafeteria
during all three lunch blocks starting Tuesday the 13th for information
and to pick up your scratch cards. While you are there, you can pick up
your ALL NEW class of 2011 T-shirts.
Are you interested in the backstage part of theatre? Things like stage
lighting, sound production and set construction? Then come to the first
Theatre Tech meeting on Monday from 2:30 to 5:00 in the auditorium.
Everyone's welcome regardless of experience. We'll actually do some work
on the Falsettos set as part of the meeting! If you have questions,
contact Ben Marsh or Mariah Ganek!
Meeting for anyone interested in Intramural Soccer Friday 10/2 @ 2:15 in
the main gym.

All METCO Freshman please visit A5 during lunch blocks today to pick up
copies of your schedule and meet the tutorial staff.
JOIN THE SPANISH DEPARTMENT ON AN EXCITING TRIP TO SPAIN!We will be
traveling to Spain during February vacation, and the itinerary is packed
with fun sights to see. Sign-ups for interviews will be available outside
of L-3 starting this Friday. For a flyer and more info, see Ms. Lynch or

The Environmental Field Studies Club will meet Friday after school to
welcome our bandings turtles to their new home. Another meeting will be
held on Saturday from 10-12:00, rain or shine, for those students who have
been unable to attend Friday meetings - we will discuss our various
projects and get outside to explore trees, birds, invasive species and the
beauty of our surroundings. All are welcome to attend. Please see Ms.
Guiney, Ms. Murphy or Mr. Goodwin with any questions.
Anyone interested in trying out for either varsity or junior varsity boys
hockey please sign up with Coach Harrington in the cafeteria immediately
following school on Friday.
The Dance Club kicks off their Fall workshop with the Floorlords this
Friday from 2:30 to 4:30 in the Auditorium. Back by popular demand Lino
Delgado will~be demonstrating and teaching new hip-hop steps and routines.
We invite all students to come learn some new hip-hop moves.
There will be Chorus Uniform fittings for all new members starting next
week.
The dates and times are: Monday, October 5, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and
Tuesday, October 6, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. All fittings are in the Chorus
Room.
Are you interested in connecting with the world outside of CCHS? Do you
value and enjoy making a contribution in a global setting? Learn about
different cultures by participating in the Global Literacy Program. Come
to an informational meeting on Monday, October 5th; at 2:30 in L-6 and
start your adventure by sampling multicultural snacks!!
