Dear CCHS Parents,
Representative Cory Atkins' office has requested that we inform you of this
special program for the Middlesex District:
>From Beacon Hill to Main Street:
How do we govern during these financial times?
A community forum hosted by Representative Cory Atkins
Panelists:
Mike Widmer, President, MA Taxpayers Foundation
Doug Howgate, Senior Policy Analyst, MA Budget & Policy Center
Representative Thomas Conroy, House Ways & Means Committee
RJ Grey Jr. High School Auditorium, 15 Charter Rd., Acton
Wednesday, October 21st ~ 7:30-9:30 p.m.
The financial impact of this unprecedented time has vast implications for
both state and local governments. Representative Cory Atkins has been a
staunch advocate for a transparent budget process. To ensure that her
constituents' ideas are not only heard, but also considered, she is hosting
a forum for the four communities of the 14th Middlesex District (Acton,
Carlisle, Chelmsford, and Concord). The objective of the forum is to
solicit input for a report that will be submitted to the House Chairman of
Ways and Means, Charles A. Murphy, and considered in the fiscal year 2011
budget deliberations.
