Seniors should be checking the diploma name list posted on the senior
window near Mrs. Coleman in the main office. Absolute deadline for any
change is October 30.
Attention Seniors: Order your Cap and Gown now!! See Mrs. Coleman in the
Main Office ASAP. Cost $25.
IF YOU HAVE A COLLEGE DEADLINE OF NOV. 15TH, THE STUDENT RECORD CONSENT
FORM MUST BE PASSED IN TO MRS. TESSARI NO LATER THAN October 22, 2009.
Attention Seniors. The Yankee Candle Fundraiser will be happening until
October 30th. This is a way to reduce the price of your individual prom
tickets and senior week activities. If you did not get a packet go to Ms.
Pineau's room in the guidance/sped office. The forms should also be
returned there in a box marked Yankee Candle.
Attention students: There are 40 wall mounted hand sanitizers placed
around the school. Take a step in preventing illness: see 'em and use
'em. Stay well!
The Interact Club will be meeting today at 2:30 in H4. We will be having
elections for leadership and will begin discussing ideas for next years
service projects.
Attention BookPALS participants, our first mentoring workshop will be next
Tuesday, October 20, at 2:30 in the Upper Library. New members are
welcome! You must attend the three workshops to participate! See Mr.
Woodnal in the English Department with any questions.
Students who are interested in applying for the Ecuador exchange, please
remember to sign up for your interview and bring in your completed
applications. Sign up sheet is posted outside of L-3. See Mr. Pohl or Mrs.
DesLoges, if you have any questions.

Sophomores
Deadline for the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Conference (HOBY) essay is
due to Mrs. Coleman no later than October 30th. Information was sent out
in the October Newsletter in the Class 2012 Class News. See Mrs. Coleman
in the main office with any questions or to pick up a worksheet.
Are you interested in planting trees on the CCHS campus? If so, you can
earn community service hours while doing something good for your school.
A sign-up sheet will be posted outside room S-11. We are looking for 10-15
volunteers for Saturday October 31st, starting at 11:00 am and going until
1:00pm. Please contact the 2011 class officers with any questions.
Students and their families are invited to participate in the Climate
Change Energy Revolution Rally Saturday, Oct. 24, 2-4 p.m. at Minuteman
National Park, Adjacent to the Visitors Center on Liberty St. See Mr.
Nichol if you would like to attend.

November CCHS Driver Education
The next CCHS Driver Education course will meet for 10 3-hour sessions on
Sundays, 5-8 PM at the Concord Public Safety Bldg (Police/Fire Station).
Enrollment is limited. The course includes 30 hours of classroom, and 12
hours of driving and 12 hours of observation. Fee $600. You must be 15
years 9 months of age to begin the classroom work, and 16 or older to
obtain your Learner Permit. Details at [ http://www.ace.colonial.net

Schedule: Sunday, 5-8 PM, November 1 to January 24. No class December 27,
January 3, January 17). The next Parent Class (required for parents of
Driver Education students, no fee required) will be on~Wednesday, December
2, 7-9 PM. For more information call Community Ed at 318-1540.
The Concord Police Department will be sponsoring RAD for adult females.
RAD is Rape Aggression Defense Systems, which is a realistic self-defense
program teaching risk reduction and avoidance strategies, including
hands-on defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. RAD consists
of four classes of simple and easy to learn techniques, providing an
effective and proven method of self-defense for females. High School
females are encouraged to participate. RAD classes will be held Tuesday
evenings November 3, 10, 17, and 24th, from 6:30PM to approximately
8:45PM. The first class will be held at the Concord Police Department. The
remaining classes will be held at the Alcott School gymnasium. Class size
