[CCHS] Fwd: ATTENTION ALL PARENTS WHO ARE ENGINEERS, SCIENTISTS, MATHEMATICIANS!

To All parents and guardians of Concord, Carlisle and Boston Students,

The newly developed Hooked on Science Program is in the process of
developing summer research opportunities for our students of Concord,
Carlisle and Boston.  We are looking for individuals in the community who
are scientists, technology experts, engineers, and mathematicians who
would be willing to offer their expertise and take these students on as
mentees in their area of work.  Our goal is to provide these students with
hands on research experiences that will promote the development of
critical thinking and analytical skills.  After completing a 4-6 week
summer internship the students will be asked to produce a mini thesis and
present their findings to the school community strengthing communication
and presentation skills.  

We are asking for your help in providing such opportunities for our
students.  Please contact Ellen Moore, CCHS biology teacher and Hooked on
Science Program facilitator if you are interested in serving as a mentor
or you know of someone who would be.  Thank you for your support in
helping to foster the development of more hands-on learning experiences
for our students!
