DAILY BULLETIN
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2010
There will be a 5 minute homeroom at the beginning of the school day TODAY
to distribute second semester schedules.
Starting TONIGHT both locker rooms will be locked at 7:30 AM until 2:10PM.
Students in Health and Fitness activity classes should arrive on time for
class, so as to not be locked out.
FAMILY VACATIONS AND END OF YEAR ABSENCE
Parents and students are reminded that Massachusetts Law requires
compulsory attendance for students. We strongly discourage family
vacations when school is in session. In addition to compromising the
attendance law, family vacations interrupt the educational process of each
course in ways that make-up work cannot reverse. If family vacations are
planned, an email (pbadalament at colonial.net) from the parent/guardian must
be submitted to the principal at least 1 month before the vacation date.
Please note that teachers are not required to make special provisions for
students who miss school for family vacations.
Seniors - CCPOPS Scholarship applications are now available. The
application form is in the February Newsletter or you may pick up a copy
from Mrs. Coleman in the main office. Application deadline is April 1.
Oyez, Oyez, Oyez. The Moot Court season begins Monday, February 1 at 2:15
in H-5. This is a mandatory meeting at which time we will be choosing

set up.
Do you need community service hours? The Summer Opportunities Fair needs
volunteers to set-up and clean-up on February 1st. Contact Zach Burns
with questions.
Starting TODAY through the tenth, we will be hosting nine Chinese exchange
students. Two students are from Inner Mongolia and seven are from Yunnan
province in the South West of China. You may see them in many of your

possible.
