All Sophomores: Don't forget your meeting with your guidance counselor
this week. This meeting is not optional! You must attend to schedule your
classes for next year. Groups will meet in the Library, FIRST FLOOR.

Show some love for Haiti! Make your own Valentines with Amnesty
International during D, E, and F blocks throughout the week. Each
Valentine will cost $2 to make--we provide the supplies and you bring your
own creativity! All proceeds will go towards Amnesty's human rights work
in the wake of Haiti's disaster.

It is carnation time! Send your sweetheart, best friend or favorite
teacher a carnation. It is almost Valentines Day and carnations will be
on sale during all lunch blocks starting today and will be delivered
Friday the 12th. PLEASE know your friends full schedule, including
teacher and room number so that we can send the carnation to the correct
class.

GUITAR HERO On Thursday, February 11, during E, F, and H blocks & Friday,
February 12, D, E, F, and H blocks, the Library will be hosting Guitar
Hero. Come into the library to sign up to play. Slots are limited so come
in early. Bring your friends and have some fun.

Any juniors or seniors interested in taking the AP Literature and
Composition exam in May and would like to take part in Mr. Woodnal's
preparatory sessions must contact Mr. Woodnal via First Class email or in
person in Room H-13 this week. If you have already signed up for the prep
sessions, please check your First Class email for instructions.

Please help provide food for those in need. The Class of 2012 is
sponsoring a canned food drive week of February 8-12. Food donations will
help supply Cor Unum in Lawrence, MA. Lawrence is one of the poorest
communities in MA. As neighbors - we have an opportunity to make a
difference to those in need.

Collection boxes will be located in all English classes. Bring some canned
goods and remind a friend to do the same. (Spread the word and help a
neighbor!) Prizes will be awarded to the class who brings in the most cans!

Thursday February 11th after school there will be a bake sale to help
support the efforts in Haiti. There will also be a presentation in the
Little Theatre by the Chinese exchange students. Please come and support
our new foreign friends!

for a favorite band) and voting by 'guest' judges, all of whom are
experienced, semi-pro or professional adult musicians.
