Applications are now being accepted for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
also known as the RYLA. The weekend conference to take place from June 25
to June 27, 2010. Information and application in the March Newsletter, on

FAMILY VACATIONS AND END OF YEAR ABSENCE
Parents and students are reminded that Massachusetts Law requires
compulsory attendance for students. We strongly discourage family
vacations when school is in session. In addition to compromising the
attendance law, family vacations interrupt the educational process of each
course in ways that make-up work cannot reverse. If family vacations are
planned, an email ([ mailto:pbadalament at colonial.net
]pbadalament at colonial.net and [ mailto:mhammer at colonial.net
]mhammer at colonial.net) from the parent/guardian must be submitted to the
principal at least 1 month before the vacation date. Please note that
teachers are not required to make special provisions for students who miss
school for family vacations.

Seniors - CCPOPS Scholarship applications are now available. The
application form is in the February Newsletter or you may pick up a copy
from Mrs. Coleman in the main office. Application deadline is April 1.

Attendance Reports are due to Mrs. Merry, in the main office, by the end
of the day Wednesday, March 24th.
