Reminder to all sophomores and those juniors taking MCAS, testing will
continue through today. Block schedule for today is GHADEFC. SSERC &
Tutorials will be held in the library today.
All lost and found clothing items and school supplies from the locker
rooms and cafeteria will be in a bin in the cafe. Please collect any lost
items by Friday, after that, things will be discarded.
Concord-Carlisle Community Chest is accepting applications for the
Volunteer Service Award for Outstanding Service in the Field of Human
Services. Nominee must be either a Concord or Carlisle resident, or attend
public or private high school in Concord. Application forms available
from Mrs. Coleman in the main office and also in the April Newsletter.
Deadline for applications to be returned to the C-C Community Chest is
April 12th.
ATTENTION ALL SENIORS TRANSCRIPT MONEY IS DUE NOW. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE
YOUR CAP & GOWN UNLESS THIS IS PAID IN FULL. PLEASE INFORM MRS. TESSARI
OF YOUR FINAL DECISION OR OF ANY OTHER PLANS THAT YOU MAY HAVE FOR THE
YEAR FOLLOWING GRADUATION.
Attention Sophomores!!!
The sophomore Semi-formal is Saturday, May 1st. Tickets will ONLY be sold
the week before April Break (April12-16) and will be $20 each. The theme
for the Semi is "Night under the Stars." If you would like to be part of
the Decorating Committee and contribute ideas to make it look awesome,
there will be a meeting after school this FRIDAY at 2:15 in the cafe. Hope

CALLED "CAREERS IN SCIENCE" THIS COMING MONDAY, MARCH 29TH AT 6PM. WORLD
RENOWNED HARVARD PHYSICS PROFESSOR ERIC MAZUR WILL SHARE WITH YOU HIS
JOURNEY TO BECOMING A PHYSICIST AND A LEADER IN PEER INSTRUCTION. THE TALK
IS AT 6PM FOLLOWED BY A DISCUSSION WITH DOCTOR MAZUR. ALL ARE WELCOME.

Class Rings! Donít forget to order your class ring on Monday March 29 or
Tuesday March 30 during lunches in the cafeteria. A down payment of $50 is
required. Ring information packets are in the main office. Delivery will
be in May.
Need community service hours? Want to help out the Youth in Philanthropy
club? YIP is trying to raise money for non-profit organizations of the
Metro West area. They are sponsoring a ìwork dayî on Saturday March 27,
2010 from 9AM-3PM and need volunteers to help baby sit and do yard/house

SPRING RAFTING TRIP!! All CCHS students are invited When: Friday, April
2nd (we have this day off of school) Times: Meet in front of CCHS at
8:30 am Return to CCHS around 6:30 pm
Cost: $70 per person (includes lunch, wet suit, transportation and
rafting fee) Where: Miller's River, Deerfield, MA (just under 2 hours
away) Permission slips (2 of them) are due back NO LATER than Tuesday,
March 30th. Return to Ms. Giunta in the Math office or S-29 office Forms
available on CCHS Student News or the bulletin board outside the Math

Student Volunteer Presidentís Service Award Applications Due April 1
CCHS students have a requirement to complete 40 hours of community service
in order to graduate.~However, many students go far beyond that minimal
requirement out of interest or commitment to the concept of community
service as a responsibility.~
The Presidentís Volunteer Service Award, signed by President Barack Obama,
and is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding volunteer
service and civic participation over the course of a 12-month
period.~Students must serve more than 100 hours per any 12-month period to
be eligible. There are three categories of award; Bronze Award 100-174
hours; Silver Award 175-249 hours and the Gold Award for more than 250
hours per 12 months.

A student may apply or a teacher or volunteer site may nominate a

Summer Workshops at CC Schools
Creative Wellness & Exercise for Girls
GirlPower! Empowers girls up to age 15 with new skills and fosters
self-confidence through the gentle introduction to yoga, journaling,
Pilates, creative cooking, skin care, expressive dance, fashion sense and
body image, art, talk about becoming a teen. Susanne Liebich, yoga
practitioner, certified Pilates instructor, and dance instructor, is
joined by guests Debra Stark of Debra's Natural Gourmet, Debora Ricci of
Teresina's Vintages, artist Susan Ticknor, and writer Ruth Herman. Three
separate one-week sessions are offered the weeks of July 12, 19, and 26
from 9 AM to 4 PM. The program takes place at the Ripley School and the
nearby Thoreau Farm. The cost is $500 and includes a nutritious lunch. To
