Dear CCHS Parents and Caregivers,

"Building a Positive Relationship with Your Teen" is a new 4-part workshop
offered by the Center for Parents and Teachers that will begin on May 4. 
It will be facilitated Anne Westcott, LICSW, a psychotherapist and
consultant in private practice in Concord MA.

Anne provides education and consultation on parenting, trauma, and
attachment, to clinicians, educators, childcare staff, and families. She
is a supervisor at the Trauma Center in Brookline MA and part of the
development team for SMART a new body centered treatment for traumatized
children. She is on the faculty of the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy
Institute in Boulder Colorado. Anne lives in Concord with her partner and
two adolescent daughters.

A few years ago Anne offered a similar workshop that was very-well
received.  She shares information with ease and clarity, and her many
years as a family therapist infuse the workshop with real-life experiences
and solutions to struggles.  

Anne's workshop is offered every few years, so take advantage of the
opportunity this spring!  

Workshop description:
"Building a Positive Relationship with your Teen”  will cover such areas
as:

  • The developing adolescent brain and how it impacts behavior; 
Setting healthy boundaries while allowing your teen the freedoms necessary
    for their development;
Exploring good communication practices to keep the door open between you
    even during trying times. 
Theory as well as practical strategies to immediately apply will be
presented.

Limited number.  (The workshop is filling up so please respond quickly if
you’d like to attend.)
Dates and Time: Tuesdays: May 4, 11, 18, 25 - 9:30-11:00AM
Location: Ripley Building, 120 Meriam Road, Concord, MA - Conference Room
