Concord-Carlisle & Turkmenistan Host Family Opportunity
CCHS is in the unique position as the 1st High School in the US with a
sister school in Turkmenistan, an emerging democratic state in Central Asia.
For two years, we have hosted exchange students from Turkmenistan. Our
program has received praise from Governor Patrick and Senator Kerry.
Here is your opportunity to be a part of this ground-breaking program!
Two students have been selected to attend classes and prepare a presentation
project for CCHS during the timeframe of August 27, 2010 through February 1,
2011. The students are 17 years old and have finished their education at the
Balkanabat School no. 17 in Turkmenistan where they have acquired a working
knowledge of English.
There will be one boy and one girl coming.
The US State Department has provided funding and support for this program.
We need two host families, one per student
If you are interested in hosting for all or a portion of these students' 5
month visit, please contact: Mr. David Nurenberg at CCHS
(dnurenberg at colonial.net).
THANK YOU!
