Attendance reports are due to Mrs. Merry, in the main office, by the end
of the day Wednesday, May 26th.

Seniors.  Please complete your Senior Wellness visits before June 1.
Screenings will be done everyday from 7:30 to 1:00 until that date.

This Friday, the Environmental Field Studies Group will be doing some
birding near campus with the guidance of Mr. Goodwin.  If you have a pair
of binoculars, bring them along.  It looks like the weather will be great.
See you then!

The class of 2010 is sponsoring two free prom buses this year.  The bus
will depart for the Park Plaza at 6:15 on June 9th and return promptly
after the prom.  Sign up is on a first come, first served basis.  The prom
bus sign-up sheet is in the main office.  Please see Mrs. Hammer if you
want to sign up for the bus.

The final CCPOPS meeting will be held Tuesday, May 25, 2010, 7pm, in the
CCHS Little Theater If your student was involved in any of the performing
arts offered at the high school or will be, this is a great opportunity to
meet the new board. Come share your views and start planning for next
year! ~

Come see the CCHS Spring Production of William Shakespeare's silliest
comedy, Much Ado About Nothing this Friday Saturday and Sunday under the
start in the courtyard. Tickets are $10 and available at the door. Picnics
are welcome! 

The final argument of the Denis Cleary Moot Court competition will be held
Monday evening, May 24, at 7:00 pm in the upper library.  We are honored
to have Judge Cratsley, Judge Lauriat, and Justice Lenk sitting on the
bench.  We congratulate our finalists Madeleine Vahey and Joshua Eisenstat
as well as Thomas Veitch and Michelle Solomon who will be arguing Kelo v.
City of New London.  Please join us for a marvelous evening.

Who wants to see the Celtics playoff game next Monday? Or watch the Red
Sox finally win a game? Purchase your raffle ticket for $10 this Wednesday
through Friday during all the lunch blocks! All proceeds go towards
supporting a group of CC Students who are helping to move a homeless
family into an apartment home this spring. You can win playoff tickets and
Red Sox tickets among other small prizes - so support your home teams
while helping end homelessness. Don't forget your $10!! Contact Kelly
Gross with any questions. 

THE 2010 YEARBOOK IS HERE!  Come one, come all to the yearbook dedication
ceremony on Wednesday the 26th at 2:30 in the upper library!  See the
yearbook for the first time, and honor those teachers to whom it is
dedicated.  All students and faculty are invited, especially seniors. 
After the ceremony, all seniors will be able to pick up their books in the
yearbook office.

Congratulations to the girls track & field team, which repeated as DCL
Small School Champions at the DCL Championship meet last night.
Congratulations in particular to Kathleen Dreher, who won the 400 meters
and placed 2nd in the Long Jump. In the boys meet, the 4 x 100 meter relay
team of Garrett O'Sullivan, George Craan, Gabriel Spivey, and Bryan
Wholihan also placed first.

Improve Your College Application Essay
Thursday, June 3, 2:15-4:15 PM, CCHS, $25   #4771Are you a rising senior
preparing for your college application essay(s)? Do you stare at the few
lines you've managed to crank out, and get stuck? Learn the tips to break
through that frustration and complete your essay. Bring a laptop or pen
and paper. This is a group class but each student
will have a brief private consultation with the teacher about the essay
topic. Mindy Pollack-Fusi teacher is the owner of The Place for Words &
Workshops. After a career in public relations, she now focuses on
journalism and creative writing and writes for The Boston Globe.  See

CCHS Driver Education Parent Class
The RMV requires parents to participate in a 2-hour class in order for a
student to complete Driver Education. The Parent Class covers how the CCHS
program works, Registry regulations, and information about how to fulfill
the parent expectation for 40 hours of supervised driving. The class is
open to all parents, free of charge, and is advised for parents of
students currently enrolled in CCHS Driver Ed or intending to take one of
the summer classes Parent class dates are:
Thursday, July 8, 6-8 PM (H Bldg)
Thursday, August 12, 7-9 PM (H Bldg)
Pre-registration is not required.
